How to Renew

Invoice Cycle

Membership renewal is based on an annual cycle from January to December not the month you joined the association.  IACLE provides an invoice to all members at the start of each new year in January and receipt of payment.  After 2 years of non payment your membership expires.

Fellows of IACLE (FIACLE) Renewal

Fellows of IACLE are required to renew their FIACLE status annually coinciding with their membership renewal.  This is simple done by completing a "Declaration of Participation" online form.  Renewal is part of the FIACLE program and remaining active within the contact lens industry is one criteria of the program.  FIACLEs are members who have successfully completed the IACLE Fellowship Exam and actively contribute to the contact lens industry.  More information on our FIACLE program or to proceed to the "Declaration of Participation" online form...

How to Pay Your Annual Membership Fee

Online - PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT
Approved members are encouraged to pay/renew their membership fees at the start of each new year (i.e. every January) using an online secure payment system (PSiGate).

If you experience any problems with online payments please contact your bank first as you may need to seek approval for the transaction to take place prior to contacting IACLE - thank you.


The following alternate payment methods are available - please note using any of these options require extra action

Cash payments - can be made at your local IACLE office (please do NOT mail cash).

Bank transfer payments - please note that IACLE is charged $30 in bank fees on all wire transfers received. Therefore, this payment option incurs a $30 fee on top of your invoice total.

Example - if your annual fee is $100, you are required to send $130 in total.  Sending just $100 via direct transfer will be a deficient amount. 

A payment description such as your full name or Surname must be provided and we also request an email be sent to us informing on the day the transaction was made and the amount sent. If we do not receive notice (email) or a name is not provided with the transaction we may not be able to assign the payment to a particular member and you will continue to receive invoice reminders.

Cheques and Bank Drafts - to be made out to 'International Association of Contact Lens Educators' and posted to Bonnie Boshart at: 72 Thomas Boulevard, Elora, ON NOB 1SO, Canada.  Please notify us by email once you have posted your cheque, the amount and who the renewal is for.

Expired Members Wanting to Reactivate their Membership:

  • You must meet the requirements of membership. Click here for more info...
  • Depending on how many years your membership has lapsed, an initial annual renewal covering a total of 2 years is required (if your annual fee is usually $60, you would pay $120 for the first year of reactivation and $60 for each year after that).  Some cases may be handled differently
