IACLE SYMPOSIUM ACHIEVES OBJECTIVE

The IACLE Practitioner Program which was held last March 2003 at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) was a success as shown in the delegates' response in the post-meeting survey conducted. The knowledge evaluation exercise which was administered before and after the meeting also showed a marked improvement in the knowledge level of the
participants after the course.

INDUSTRY DAYS
IACLE, together with the educators in the various optometry institutions, will be scheduling IACLE Industry Days starting July 2003 to allow industry enough time to prepare for the school visits. We will be contacting you with the dates as they become available. These events give industry the opportunity of meeting the future practitioners and presenting them
with updated product and market information. In addition to the distribution of promotional materials, we encourage you to present students with a complimentary pair of lenses, for the reason that if a student is comfortable wearing contact lenses, he/she will have more confidence going into practice fitting contact lenses. These events have always been fun and
enjoyed by the students.
