at your Institution and participating in this IACLE program. We

of the Resource Center. Please use the form titled "Report
on the IACLE Resource Center". On the 1 October each year you

Free Contact Lens Course for all active Resource Centers
IACLE industry sponsors have always provided generous funding for
development costs for the IACLE Contact Lens Course. Industry are
now also prepared to supplement the production/distribution costs
to make this renowned course more accessible to members. As you
have agreed to act as the Resource Coordinator and have established
an IACLE Resource Center, IACLE is able to provide your Institution
with an industry sponsored set of Modules/CD-ROMs of the IACLE Contact
Lens Course at no cost.
To register your interest in receiving the IACLE Contact Lens Course
set for your Resource Center, notify your Regional/National IACLE
office or the IACLE Secretariat and include the completed Resource
Center Activity Report.
It is IACLE's objective to have all free modules sets presented
to the Resource Coordinators by Industry sponsors. One way of providing
for this is to arrange an Industry
Seminar Visit at your Institution with the assistance of your
Regional/National IACLE Coordinator.
On the day of the industry meeting, the Resource Coordinator and/or
the Head of the School should give a tour of the school to the industry
guests. This is a good opportunity for the educators to show the
facilities, describe what the school needs, and discuss how the
industry representatives can become involved (ie a supply of trial
lenses or contact lens solutions, etc.) The industry representatives
should be made aware of the IACLE Resource Center, and how much
IACLE is helping to improve the quality of contact lens education
at the institution. Many of the resources housed in IACLE Resource
Centers have been donated by Industry. Please show them how IACLE
members, other faculty, and students are benefiting from their generous
donations.
During this industry day, the local IACLE industry representatives
will be given the opportunity to present the free copy of the IACLE
Contact Lens Course to the Resource Center Coordinator.
Please contact your Regional/National IACLE Coordinator for more
information as to how you can arrange for an Industry
Seminar Visit at your Institution.
Transferring the Responsibility of the Resource Coordinator
It is important to IACLE that all Resource Centers remain active.
If for any reason, you are unable to continue in your role as Resource
Coordinator at your institution, another IACLE member will need
to be appointed. Please complete the 'Transferring the Responsibility
of Resource Coordinator' and forward this form to your Regional/National
IACLE office or the IACLE Secretariat.
