FELLOWS OF IACLE (FIACLE) PROGRAM
IACLE’s most active, visible and involved members, are recognized for their accomplishments within the global discipline of contact lens education. Upon successful completion of the IACLE Accreditation Exam IACLE members are eligible to apply for Fellowship of IACLE*.

OPENING THE DOOR TO NEW OPPORTUNITIES!
FIACLEs are seen as leaders within their field, frequently invited to speak at educational meetings, providing practitioner and student education within their professional communities.
With IACLE acting as the coordinating body the FIACLE program provides a mechanism for communication, designed to:
- Create opportunities for exposure of FIACLEs in their local/regional professional circles
- Develop a team of FIACLEs who can provide quality practitioner and student education
- Provide the profession with a resource team who can respond to requests on a local/regional level
- Provide industry sponsors with a team of educators they may access to assist in professional education
- Develop better local/regional contact lens academic infrastructure through collaboration of all local/regional sources of knowledge
- Facilitate stronger working relationships between local FIACLEs, professionals and industry
Who Qualifies to be a FIACLE?
The Executive
Board may admit to become a Fellow of the International
Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) any Full
Member, Associate
Educator Member or Associate
Industry Member of at least one years standing who:
(1) continues to qualify as a member,
(2) is a financial member,
(3) has passed the IACLE Accreditation Examination,
(4) conforms in all respects to the Code
of Conduct of IACLE,
(5) promotes IACLE educational goals and objectives,
(6) continues to make a contribution to contact lens education,
(7) participates in programs that advance contact lens education
(as set out in Appendix A in the application form),
(8) is a person of good standing.

FIACLE Education Library (FEL)
A compulsory component for each renewing FIACLE is the contribution of at least one educational resource, to be provided as evidence of their continued adherence to the FIACLE Guidelines and Declaration of Participation. This library is a valuable educational resource list for all other contact lens educators to view the latest educational material from around the globe.
