| Reverse Educator Fellowship A three-day Reverse Fellowship Program was held in 2004 for four educators at ARO Kader Bangsa – a relatively new institution in Indonesia. Comments received from the participants
“The lectures are very comprehensive. Some times we do have problems selecting the slides that we want to teach. The Modules are marvelous and it is good as a reference. I would like also to ask if it is possible to use the IACLE workbook as our practical contact lens book. I am impressed with this compilation. Students would have everything they want to know and they can refer to that workshop if they want to do practicals."
"I will change the way I teach practical contact lenses. Before the fellowship, I admit that it was quite messy. I like the way the practical was conducted. I have to discuss / lecture first or even give a short lecture and then we conduct practical contact lenses. This way the student can understand better."
Knowledge evaluation exercises were conducted both before and after the program, and the results showed an improvement of 21% in the overall mean score.
