October 2007 Examination

IACLE will be administering the next IACLE Accreditation Examination in 2007 (the date is yet to be confirmed). If you wish to sit the Examination please register through the online Enrolment form.

The examination will continue to be free of charge to members of IACLE. We urge you to participate as the Accreditation Examination is designed as a diagnostic tool in determining your knowledge level. You will benefit from the exam results as you are given an indication of your areas of strength and weakness, and where improvement is needed. Please be assured that all results are kept strictly confidential.

Industry staff can also greatly benefit from the examination by using the results of the exam to determine their knowledge of contact lenses and to assess where further training is necessary.

If you have previously written the Accreditation Examination, you are encouraged to participate again. Re-writing the exam will show you how you have progressed since the last sitting or can simply act as a means of refreshing your knowledge of contact lenses.

The IACLE Director of Education confidentially reviews the results of the Accreditation Examination, and then uses this information to develop and tailor programs that target and address areas of weakness in a particular country or region. You may also be encouraged to participate in self-study programs offered by IACLE to raise your level of knowledge. Overall, the results will lead to more advanced and complete contact lens education worldwide.

Successful completion of the accreditation examination is also one of the eligibility criteria in applying for Fellow of IACLE (FIACLE). FIACLEs can also become further involved in the FIACLE Leadership Development Program.
