 National Meetings

Wherever possible, IACLE organizes National Educator Meetings in conjunction with local conferences. In the past, programs were designed to deliver topics relating to general knowledge and “what” to teach. However, in recent years, as the foundation of knowledge has been established, our focus has shifted to “how” to teach.

IACLE Educator Meetings include both didactic and hands-on workshops, covering topics that will help to improve the delivery of materials to students as well as those concerning the latest research in contact lenses. These lectures and workshops cover topics that will address particular areas of weakness identified through the Accreditation Examination results, Student Trial Exams and Graduate Surveys for the region.

 Intensive Training courses

Expanding markets in some countries require skilled and knowledgeable contact lens fitters. It is essential to rapidly raise the standard of contact lens education in these countries. Therefore, we have developed our intensive educator-training program of didactic lectures and hands-on workshops to be conducted in these priority countries. These intensive training courses will have a direct and rapid impact on the new practitioners graduating and fitting contact lenses.
