On December 10th and 11th 2009, 33 educators from 27 institutions in China, along with 9 industry representatives attended an IACLE Educational Meeting at the Tianjin Vocational Institute. 

The 2 day meeting provided 12 hours of education, including presentations and workshops on fitting silicone hydrogel lenses, care and maintenance and effective use IACLE Interactive Case Reports, as well as a lively debate on Daily Disposable lenses

The IACLE Accreditation Examination is unique as it is the sole resource for accrediting contact lens educators internationally.  First developed and delivered in 1996, the exam is held every 2 years with the 7th administration in November 2009 for 200 candidates in 28 countries.

The 8th administration of the IACLE Accreditation Examination will be held on November 7th globally and on November 10th in China for a total of 229 candidates. Of those registered for the exam, 124 are currently registered in (or have completed) the Distance Learning Program (DLP).

IACLE Train-the-Trainer Program

IACLE’s Train-the-Trainer program is designed to improve the presentation skills of FIACLEs and active IACLE members. The 2-day program prepares educators to conduct interactive lectures and workshops for delivery at educational meetings and practitioner continuing education sessions.
