NEW MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES
According to the new membership guidelines implemented in January 2010, all current and new members who wish to write the Accreditation Examination in the future and achieve FIACLE status will need to enter into the FIACLE Candidate Stream of membership. This automatically enrolls you in the Distance Learning Program (DLP), which helps members systematically study the IACLE Contact Lens Course and prepare for the Accreditation Exam.
If you do not wish to become a Fellow of IACLE, you could continue your current membership by remaining in the Regular Membership Stream.
For those members who wish to register in the FIACLE Candidate Stream now, please contact the regional administrator, Carmen Carrillo:

We would like to thank the members who have their membership fees paid up to date and request all outstanding payments for 2009 be forwarded as soon as possible, along with Resource Usage Reports.
ACCREDITATION EXAM 2009 RESULTS
Congratulations to all candidates who sat for the 2009 Accreditation Examination. In our EAME Region, this exam was administered to 20 members, of which 18 (90%) were successful and who are now eligible to apply for FIACLE status.
We request all eligible candidates to familiarize yourselves with the requirements of FIACLE status approval and to submit your applications to the regional administrator. We are currently processing those applications already submitted.
For more information about this process please refer to this page on our website: http://www.iacle.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=64&Itemid=72
DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM (DLP)
We welcome all new members and existing members to the program for 2010. We are currently processing assignments and issuing grades. We remind all participants to submit outstanding assignments. Out of the number of candidates who wrote last year’s Accreditation Exam and became eligible to apply for FIACLE status (111 candidates in total), 33% were registered in the DLP and an extra 5% were candidates who had completed the DLP in previous years. Therefore 39% were DLP participants.
